Aloysius Gonzaga

20th or late 19th century
Church of the Assumption, Windsor, Ontario, Canada

This is the typical portrayal of Gonzaga – a beardless, untonsured youth wearing a black cassock and white surplice and holding a crucifix. Sometimes lilies are added to the portrait as an attribute referring to his chastity.
